Earlier this week, Maarten van Arkel participated in the OPCW’s 12th Annual Meeting on behalf of ICTA.
This annual meeting focuses on the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, which reinforces the international norm prohibiting chemical weapons.

Maarten’s keynote addressed the collaboration between globally operating companies, the OPCW, and national authorities to make global supply chains as secure as possible. He also highlighted how ICTA has developed best practices aimed at strengthening security throughout the supply chain.

During the panel on Emerging Technologies, Maarten discussed the opportunities and risks of applying AI to secure supply chains, emphasizing the importance of responsible implementation.

The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration across borders and among diverse stakeholders. We’re proud to contribute to shaping a safer, more secure, and sustainable future.

Thank you to the OPCW and the State of Qatar for organizing this event.
