Dear all,

We are delighted to invite you to the ICTA Webinar taking place on November 20th from 16:00 – 17:30 CET.

As you all know, one of ICTA’s core focus areas is the security of supply chains. This is a critical issue because we aim to prevent chemicals from falling into the wrong hands. That is why we are internationally connected with organizations such as the  INCB and the OPCW.

The rise of new AI technologies—such as Large Language Models, Generative AI, and Narrow AI—brings both opportunities and challenges for securing supply chains. To explore these developments and their implications within the framework of the Chemical Weapons Convention, we have invited 2 guest speakers. We are pleased to introduce them to you:

Our first speaker is Carlos Soares, Senior VP Data, Analytics and AI at Brenntag.

Carlos Soares has been at the forefront of data and AI for over 25 years, driving innovation and business transformation. Carlos will share insights on how AI can unlock innovation and create business impact.

Our second speaker is Dr. Sarah Clapham, Science Policy Officer at OPCW.

Sarah Clapham monitors developments in science and technology to understand their impact on the Chemical Weapons Convention and works closely with the OPCW Scientific Advisory Board and its temporary working groups.

We will wrap up with time for your questions and discussion.

If you would like to participate in this webinar, please let us know by sending an email to: info@icta-chem.org
