We kindly invite you to the ICTA General Assembly 2024 which will take place on Monday November 11th from 2:30 to 5 pm. We will meet in the beautiful La Quinta Hotel in Palm Springs, California.
During the General Assembly we will have two keynote speakers.
First, Mr. Thomas Kevin Swift will present his outlook on the global and US economy, industry dynamics, demography, technology, and other factors. As former chief economist at American Chemistry Council (ACC) he has a deep understanding of international chemical markets, raw materials, trade, tax, and competition and innovation. At present, he is lecturer at the University of North Carolina and senior economist at ICIS.
After that, Mr. Robert Benedict, VP Petrochemicals and Midstream at AFPM, will discuss energy market dynamics. He will outline how US and global energy market developments influence chemical distributors’ business through the lens of supply and demand for petrochemicals as well as regulatory / policy changes, including the energy transition. Rob works on legislative and regulatory matters related to petrochemicals, midstream, and the circular economy. With almost two decades in Washington D.C., Rob maintains strong relationships with regulatory agencies, Congress, and the White House and can provide members with insight into how federal policies will impact companies. Recently, Rob has led AFPM’s engagement on the United Nations global agreement on plastic pollution.
Following both talks, the ICTA secretariat will present ICTA’s activities in 2024, including the status of the development of our new Global Responsible Distribution Program.
After the meeting a cocktail reception will be organized from 5.30 to 7 pm. Your spouse is also invited to the reception.
